Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, Jody trained at Loyola University New Orleans where he received his bachelor's degree before moving to New York City to finish his master's degree at Manhattan School of Music.

​

While in school, he performed with the New Orleans Opera Chorus in many main stage productions before making his professional solo debut in NOOA's Il Trovatore. His Loyola main stage operatic credits include Pirates of Penzance, Le petit vieillard in L'enfant et les sortilèges, Monsieur Lacouf in Les mamelles de Tirésias, "Little Bat" McLean in Susanna, and Fritz in The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein.

While at MSM, Jody participated in the main stage productions of ThaisThe Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, and the world premiere of Moving Right Along: the World of Jeff Blumenkrantz. Jody also performed as Jack in Into the Woods, and Henrik in A Little Night Music, Bernstein’s New York, and Irving Berlin's Coming to America at MSM's Summer Voice Festival.

After graduating, Jody went on to make his New York City debut in the world premeire of Your Name on My Lips at the Dream Up Festival. He then joined the cast of The Golden Smile for its 2016 summer productions in the Plannet Connections Festivity in NYC (nomination for Best Supporting Actor) and the Captial Fringe in Washington, D.C. Following this he went on to perform as Mark in Altar Boyz regionally at the Pines Dinner Theatre in Allentown, PA. Soon after, he was seen traveling the world as Lead Soloist for Aida Cruise Lines.

Most recently, Jody made his Off-Broadway debut in Teen Party Massacre at St. Luke's Theatre while simultaneously appearing in Lost in the Disco at Angel Orensanz Foundation Off-Broadway.
